Doppler Settings
- Set the Doppler angle ≤ 60° for accurate velocity measurements
- Align the Doppler cursor parallel to blood flow
- Adjust sample gate size to match vessel lumen (not too wide or narrow)
- Optimize PRF (Pulse Repetition Frequency) to avoid aliasing
- Use wall filter to remove low-frequency motion artifacts
- Balance color gain to avoid over- or under-saturation of the flow signal
- Set appropriate scale for expected flow velocities
- Use baseline shift to reduce aliasing when high velocities are present
- Ensure spectral Doppler waveform is clear with sharp envelope
- Adjust sweep speed for better display of waveforms (slower for detail, faster for rhythm)
